We're deadly serious Law!! Is there anything more important than clean underpants? Didn't your mother ever say that when you go out, make sure you have clean underpants on just in case you get run over by a bus and you end up in hospital? Nothing worse than someone else seeing the skid marks in your underpants!

After many hours we've now worked out how to work our new Zanussi washing machine. Now we're trying to train the kids how it works too, although strangely, they're not showing much enthusiasm on this subject. My son's convinced that there's a washing and ironing fairy.

Now, where's my clean drawers?

This could be a new thread......do you wear Y fronts, boxers or briefs? And would anyone admit to wearing a thong?

i'm 18 and i wash all my clothes, by myself, i don't keep my parents busy by running after me, i like to make life easier for them seeing as they've been working hard to raise me for the past 16 years, it's time i give them a break.
Theres nothing to washing clothes, it's simple.

Cooking, now theres a dodgy thing to do when you don't exactly know who to cook.

Is there something you'd like to share with us Law? Maybe not actually!

i have this sheet posted to my laundry room

Bleeding of Colors: Your red shirt got mixed in with other clothes and ruined them? First off, DON'T DRY THEM! Wash again with regular detergent and color-safe bleach. If that didn't work, Rit®, the makers of clothes dye, makes a color remover that works wonders and doesn't cost much. To prevent bleeding in the first place, I use a scoop of Oxi Clean® with every load.

Blood on Clothes: Pour peroxide on blood and rinse with cold water. If some blood remains, repeat. (Submitted by Michele Dutcher)
Burn / Scorch Marks: If the fabric is washable, brush it gently with a soft brush or dry sponge to remove loose carbon particles. Then, wash the fabric with regular detergent and color-safe bleach. This will permanently weaken the fabric even more than the scorch has, but the scorch may no longer be noticeable.

Burnt Stuff on Iron: Rub iron with aluminum foil to remove burnt on starch, etc.

Deodorant Stains on the Underarms of Washable Shirts: Sponge on white vinegar (or soak stain in it); wait 30 minutes. Launder shirts in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Using an enzyme detergent or a detergent with bleach alternative check care labels to be sure this is okay). I sometimes put liquid laundry detergent right on the area, leave it for five to ten minutes, then wash. To prevent: Let deodorant dry before dressing. And don't let stains sit! Apply prewash spray or liquid detergent ASAP, then launder. Every third or fourth washing, use the hottest water safe for the shirts.

 :o

the best way to do laundry is sabotage

Postby SSSQ » Wed Sep 17, 2003 10:44 pm

first make a selection of clothes u don't wear 2 much
then add 1 of ur parners favorite clothes in there as well
buy or get orself a red piece of fabric( tshirts from asia work best) preferebly 1 that has never been washed, blue will also do very well
get some lycra in there as well

set the washer at 90 degrees celsius
very important detail: put enuf of detergent and that stuff that gives the good smell in it the washer.
let it run completely , in the mean while go to shop for flowers, jewelry or whatever ur partner likes

call ur partner
apologise to ur partner for ruining their favorite garment
(that is why u need flowers, rings or chocolate)

and presto u will always have nicely cleaned clothes for the remainder of ur relationship with ur partner

PS this also works for ironingwork

Who the hell is General Failure??
and why is he reading my harddisk !!
