Gosh thanks... Please don't, I'd like to live on a while longer than that.

No junk mail in December? What about all the Christmas cards, that's gonna be fun :P

xmas cards are a dawdle compared to junk mail hon, maybe u don't have as much in holland as we have in uk, atm we are delivering holiday brochures (more like books) and xmas brochures for next year

I say we increase the price of paper so much it stops these companies sending so much junk :!:

They do create the job too, don't forget that. No mail means no job  Dunno about the amount of junk mail during December, we've had a sticker on the front door for years that says we don't want unaddressed mail  And guess some of our pathetic rivals may deliver the junk mail, we only do the real stuff, cos we're the only real company :P
Don't care much about what I have to deliver, just as long as it's dry outside :P

btw, we (as in my family) don't do Christmas here, well not as abundant as some fellow countrymen (and as most of the UK), so all I wish for is a nice family dinner :)

I'll second that........all commercialised now Xmas... sometimes you feel you are pressurised too get gifts. Don't mind doing it for the kids.....thats ok cause i remember the
happy memories of my xmas chilhood. I stated my wish is a LCD TV.......i will get one one day but i'll be getting it.

Nothing more important at chrimbo time than being with friends and family.

all our junk mail is addressed, they are paying for the delivery of it  getting the last of it in now b4 there's none in december, thank the lord..

actuallly that means i will b out delivering  would rather stay in the warm and sort the junk mail :P

Shouldn't leave your address at the local supermarket for all the companies to look at then

Prolly the same in the UK, if we get junk mail here we don't want and want to be a pest to the company that sent it, we just send it back. If you do that long enough, they'll grow tired of it and remove you from their system :P

Ah well, more looking forward to my granny's bday on the 22nd than Christmas itself, as I'll see all of my family then, so should be fun. Although I'm making myself unpopular among colleagues for not working that Saturday before Christmas, but hey, it can't be helped, it ain't every day your indestructable granny reaches the age of 90!

likewise lh, marriage works for some ppl, just not for me. grats and commiserations to/for ure grandpa. Thankfully my father seen his golden wedding anniversary b4 he died too, was nice for mum to remember

Dutchy our companies get details from electoral registers and many other reliable sources, credit checks, etc etc etc. There are things u can't do without giving ure name and address, like buying a tv (for the license). Anyone who's ever been on a holiday using a reputable company will get a brochure thru the post, unless they specificly ask not to b contacted. There is an opt out rather than opt in in the uk which buggers things up quite a lot  Although this is starting to change slowly
