Patch 1.3

Just updated my COD MP from 1.2 to 1.3. But when i want to join a [FuN]server, this message is displayed:

Server running other version: 1.2

When will the server update to patch 1.3?

i have a question to 1.3 too

when i install the patch he says "setup could not find a valid instalation of call of duty"
but i am sure i have installed it

any solutions?

Maybe you can browse to your folder where you installed it. (c:\games\callofduty .... or whatever).

hhm nope i cant

it just shows me :

"setup could not find a valid instalation of call of duty

call of duty must be installed before aplyying the patch

click ok to exit the installer"

i cant browse

There are a couple of issues I have to check before we go to 1.3, but once that is done we will upgrade ASAP.

I had a similar problem with RTCW patch 1.41 where the patch could not find the installtion.

It was due to the registry keys being missing or damaged. I had all my binds and mods setup ready and didnt want to go thru doing it all again.

I dunno if this will work for cod but i renamed my wolf folder to rtcw2 and then installed wolf again into the default folder. I then renamed this folder and then renamed the original wolf installation back to the default folder again, and voila my configed copy of wolf had its registry keys back again and the patch went on a delight!

I then deleted the copy i just installed!
