New Binding Stuff for ShruB

Hey couple of people have asked me how i do some of my binds, like being able to type Nice Shot (whoever killed me last)T-Jay

go to www.planetwolfenstein.com/shrub for complete shrub mod manuel but here r the shotcut binds:

TEXT SHORTCUTS - new for 3.1

Cvars:
g_shortcuts default: 0 enable/disable text shortcuts
When g_shortcuts is 1, players can use the following text shortcuts in their say,
say_team, and me chats. They will be replaced with the appropriate text:

[a] - the last teammate who gave you ammo
[d] - the last player who killed you
[h] - the last teammate who gave you health
[k] - the last player who you killed
[l] - your location
[p] - the teammate you are pointing at
[r] - the last player who revived you
[n] - your name
[s] - the amount of health you have
[w] - the weapon you are holding

For example, one can "bind n say_team I need help! I'm at [l] and I only have
[s] health left!" or "bind l say_team [p], turn around! I'm trying to give you
a [w]!" ([w] could read "Ammo Pack" or "Health Pack" depending on what a player
is holding, or it could be left out).

Helpful hint: type "/? shortcuts" in the console to see the above list in-game.

its server side

just do ur bind like regular just put thosse things in there, like.....
[d], [a], [h], and so on....in place of other things

IT IS VERY EASY

These are fun and usefull commands but gamers has a text limit on it (or shrub)so if the person has a long name they dont work to well so keep the text to a limit...
eg ....BIND 1 "SAY SWEET SHOT [D]"
NOT!!
BIND 1 "SAY SWEET SHOOTING THERE [D] BUT ILL GET YA BAK

just a tip as i had to redo 90% of my binds due to text length :oops:

maybe we should have a [FuN]4spelling area or a [FuN]spellchecker command (can be set for drunkness on or off), or failing that just shoot the keyboards :roll:

Ok i am lost ive tried tose on some binds but it just says for example [l] instead of location dose this mean i need to tell the admin to switch g_shortcuts to 1 for this to work?

Haven't used shortcuts in ages, but if memory serves me correctly
it goes something like this

eg [P] = name of the player your pointing at

command line will be: (I think)

/bind x say hello [P]

Each time you press x whilst pointing at a player, u will greet them.

As far as i am aware, this feature has not been disabled

I mean on the -|TS|- server would the admin need to turn it on.
You gus should come along sone time we have two servers so far
-|TS|- DESTRUCTION 66.165.`08.124:27960
-|TS|- ET PRO SERVER 216.15..69:27960
We are gettin an OSP server with soon mabey with in the next week it will have map rotation but not decided on the maps yet.
I have been on youre server a good a few times mostly youre gold rush and depot
