Forum SPRING CLEANING

I was thinking that we should ask Frags if he could spare some time - or give me a quick tutorial so i don't balls it up again - in re-arranging the Forums.

Drop the Castle Warbitz Section into Archive (it isn't used)

Move the FuN 4 Forums Community up to under Servers (this is used) and archive the summer cup topic - (its embarrasing now)

Servers - Drop 4Evermore into archive (I really cant see this being resurrected in it's current/past form)

? and perhaps contentious for Frags - archive rosscomputers technical help - and recreate a new tech-help section - while there's a lot of useful stuff in there there is also a lot of old guff too - last post October 2006

Move most of the Game Support apart from active servers COD2 - into archive

I think this will go a long way to clearing up the Forums and give the new FuN crew a nice clean slate for starting to re-build their community without piles of unwanted stuff cluttering things up. After that I think we can look at tidying up posts within the two COD2 Server topics into something more useful.

Let me know what you think guys and I'll try and set aside some time.

PS Hope you like the COD banner and if MrMiller wants to get in touch I'm happy to apply suggestions)

That makes good sense spliffy as alot of the topics are old or not current
imo the banner is fine but the tag could use some blue 8)

I have got rid of quite a lot of extra forums and consolodated some forums together.

[FuN] forums and Server list are now integrated together. I have also consolodated the [FuN] forums together. to make 2 server forums and 2 Information forums, a loss of 5 uneeded forums, all forums are now at top ofr forum together, with ascendance under. Recruitment has been combined into the general [FuN] info forum and cheaters named and shamed consolodated with Bans & Kicks.

Ascendance has a total of 5 topics as it does not have a private dedicated forum.

The games have been limited to the games we play now, or played in past. Again a loss of 4 uneeded forums and gained World of Warcraft section.

Castlewarbitz section now gone, as was not used.

Technical Section has dropped rosscomputer in the banner but the forum is now dedicated to brent. I shall sort through the posts as some are still very useful. Brent's Posts will be kept unless Sen decides they should be archived.

and I didnt mean any disrespect to Brent . . . was just largely his dept . . . that no-one else has taken over.

and the Blues are incoming . . . will go do them now Sam :)

If CptMiller can get a banner link for your new server supplier then we can swap it for the 4U server banner - make sure you tell them your advertising their servers - might get you a few quid off :)

yer but the banner referral code refers to the old account, need to update the referral code with the new one, on the 4u page, there is an option for referrals. Just choose the same banner and it will give u the referral HTML.

We used to have a paypal account so people could make donations directly ^^ thats just your email.

Frags do we know who holds the paypal account and can it be transferred to the Millars?

Sorry Spliff, i dont get what you mean?

When erver i have sent money via paypal i had to enter the persons email and thats it.

Yer, but what I think spliffy is trying to say and as far as I know, you need a paypal account to actually receive money. And on the actual account you can set an email adress people can donate towards and it then gets transferred to your account.
Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no paypal expert

Ok I'm no expert either but what I meant is there might be some residual funds from the last 'incarnation' of FuN which could be given to CptMillar for the server funding - and . . . agreed we need to set up a paypal link to him for future server funding.

? We should really move this to PVT Forums btw - but then i only see a few members post there :(
