Just read the sunday server report thread trough and there was some information about g_antilag which I dont agree with. I would suggest using this setting if it would actually balance the ping differences but aslong it just makes hitting easier and gives false shots its not good.

Good ping > bad ping with both g_antilag 1 and g_antilag 0. If you dont believe me go test this game on lan with g_antilag 0 setting and see if you can hit similar way than with g_antilag 1 on internet. Its not the same.

Some of you made it sound like harder hitting would be automatically bad thing.. im not sure of you guys but when I play I like some challenge and not getting a kill everytime I shoot on enemys direction.

Also if this is so succesfull setting why competitive scene dont use it?

Btw dutchy cod 2 uses pixel detection system not hitboxes.

Agree with CinaM but... Cin isn't then sprayer in better position then rifleman... I was having difficult time to adjust myself on rifles... but i think i'm good with snipe and obvious hit on scope isn't registered :(

I didnt quite get your point in that sprayer is in better position rifleman.. can you clear it up?

On g_antilag 0 only "legit" and correct shots are counted. On g_antilag 1 you can hit someone even when the bullet shouldnt hit or the guy is behind corner. I think its just that you havent used to g_antilag 0 but played only on g_antilag 1 servers where hitting is easier overall.

Anyways I dont mind turning this thread into argument.. just saying opinions about g_antilag setting and how it affects to gaming.

The point is that i can't hit target even if it's clear shot :(

that was before.. now i don't waste bullets more than once on moving target ;)

I can hit usually too on a target if its a clear shot. With g_antilag 1 I can hit the target even if it wouldnt be a clear shot and I still didnt get your point.

Thanks for that cinam, didn't even know hitboxes were changed for a different system in CoD2. All that I said about antilag is what I remember hearing during the RtCW and ET days :P

You have to take little lead on the target with g_antilag 0 setting in order to get a hit.. also on some servers there is better "bullet registration" than on others.

that was before.. now i don't waste bullets more than once on moving target

Yes with g_antilag 1 its hard to miss but I still dont agree that getting (too) easy and sometimes "false" hits would be the better choice.
