2.5" 10Gb IBM Hard Drive - Free to good home

Postby Freebie » Tue Feb 22, 2005 6:41 pm

I bought several of these as untested. But every one i used so far works fine. Drive rattles a little, but so have some of the others. This is a bare drive, there are no screws, caddies etc.

Ill come back over the next day or so, and one lucky person who replies to this thread will get it for free. I will be giving preference to FuN members - but if none post, it's anyones.

I might be interested in this one.
Hoping to go to England for 6 months later this year and am thinking of taking a pc with me, just a very old Compaq one, only 166Mhz. Or if I can persuade my parents I can take the other 166Mhz one as that one's got more RAM. Only prob with the Compaq is that it's only got a 2GB harddrive so I don't really have much space for music n all. Oh, and I wouldn't know whether it'd even be possible to fit in an extra Harddrive in there, so I'm gonna have to check that.

If no-one else replies, consider me please. Going to have to find a proper way to send it over though, but we could discuss that later. Please catch me in irc or pm me trough here if I'm the only one interested.

Also now found a IBM Travelstar 4.3Gb (2.5" for laptops), which was one of the drives replaced when i bought the 10Gb one above.

Again, it's going in the bin if no-one wants it.
